Biography
John
Deland has over 35 years of IT related experience providing him a
solid background in service management.
John has performed Operations Assessments and
process development work in such organizations as GTIS, MTO, Dofasco,
AT&T, US Postal Service and New York City Housing. John is a
certified ITIL professional and currently employed with Sierra
Systems Inc. as an ITSM Specialist in Sierra’s ITSM Centre of
Excellence. John, a passionate ITIL evangelist, has taught over 75
ITIL and MOF classes, resulting in certification of over 1200
students.
As well, John sits on the Ottawa itSMF Board of
Management and actively engaged in itSMF Ottawa events. John also
sits on the National Board of Directors for itSMF as Chair of
Branches. In this capacity, John is the primary interface for all
Canadian itSMF Branches and represents their interests at the
National board
