Biography
Gale Blank joined PWGSC in 2004 as the Director
General, Product Management, Information Technology Services, where
she is responsible for the development of a definition and strategy
for the new product and service portfolio of the IT shared-service
organization.
Ms. Blank has served as CIO and Director General of
KITS (knowledge, information, technology, services) at Canadian
Heritage, where she was part of the leadership team that transformed
the branch into a leading-edge example of a service organization,
customer focused, values driven and performance focused. Prior to
joining the federal government in 2001, Gale held progressively
senior positions with Indigo Books as CIO and Senior Vice President
of Indigo's Supply Chain, as well as Vice President and CIO of the
T. Eaton Company, and as Vice President of Information Services at
Loblaws Companies Ltd., where she was part of the leadership team
that transformed the IT organization into a high performance,
customer focused and strategically driven group.
