Ergonomics
  • Ergonomics (or Human Factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.

  • Height: Feet flat

  • Level with elbows
  •  Why?
    • Too low, causes bend & slouch
    • Too high, causes shoulder shrug & static contraction

  • Myth of the “wrist rest”


  • Palm support actually supports the shoulder & neck muscles


  • *CAUTION: Never rest wrist on support, only palm (heel) of hand should touch the support
